Brad Lubin’s new spot for E.ON has gone live. He takes us on a journey we have all begrudgingly been on before- into the cupboard under the stairs. It’s where we store our possessions, like magpies; unwilling to throw our cobwebbed treasures away (old pairs of skis and dusty, flat basket balls). The only time one ever braves The Cupboard of Doom is to do exactly what Jackson is doing in Brad’s spot for E.ON: to take a meter reading.
The spot is a fun poke at the dusty journey to the back of the cupboard. Indiana Jones-style, Jackson and his helpful E.ON adviser, Jess, undergo the journey through the cupboard whilst she explains all of the benefits of being an E.ON customer, especially the self-reading energy meters.
WCRS and MindsEye went to Bulgaria to film the spot, and worked with legendary art director, John Beard, to create the epic journey into the cupboard under the stairs.
