MindsEye is the title sponsor of this year's LOCO London Comedy Film Festival, held at the BFI from 4th-7th May. The festival, in its 6th year, celebrates international comedy cinema with a programme packed with big names, bold ideas and raw new talent.
There is a good representation of MindsEye talent at the festival with two short films screening, 'Clowns' from director Seb Cardinal and 'Static Stephen' from Luke Bellis, while Julian Barratt's brilliantly-received feature, Mindhorn, which he co-wrote and plays the eponymous lead in, will also be screening at the festival.
Ahead of the festival, Hughie Phillips will be making an appearance alongside Seb Cardinal at David Reviews Craftworks on Wednesday 26th April to discuss the making of Clowns and giving a brief overview of the festival itself.
As well as sponsoring the film festival, MindsEye is also supporting the Emerging Talent fund which is dedicated to giving a foot-up to new writing and directing talent.
Hughie Phillips, MindsEye’s Managing Direcotor, has said “We are so happy to be a part of a London Film festival that is so focused on supporting British comedy. MindsEye is dedicated to comedy, so working alongside LOCO and discovering the talents of newcomers, writers, directors and actors is something we are delighted to be involved in."
Tickets are on sale on the LOCO website tomorrow morning (Tuesday 11th April).
